Lower Manhattan is one of the city's greenest business districts.  With its abundance of green buildings, a number of new green-minded businesses, unparalleled public transit access, a free bike-sharing program, and superior walkability, Lower Manhattan is a sustainability gem.  In addition, the World Trade Center and other buildings in the development pipline will bring millions more square feet of green real estate to the district.  The Downtown Alliance is proud of the sustainability initiatives happening in Lower Manhattan, and we are happy to tout all of the great achievements.

In addition, the Downtown Alliance plans to "Go Green" as well - in our offices by reducing waste and energy use, and on the street by hosting events and initiatives.  We think much can be learned from sharing our experiences, and plan to keep you updated on our progess.
