Green Gate, Summer – Raina Accardi

Green Gate, Summer aims to alter the public’s perception of the ubiquitous construction site, drawing the viewer in, and offering a view into an unexpected world. The photograph portrays nature as an abundance contained and organized by repetition and structure. The hope is that a balance between the man-made and nature is achieved.

Houston Fence – Carolina Cisneros, Mateo Pinto, Carlos J. Gomez de Llarena

The Houston Fence installation, occupying the four corners of the intersection at Broadway and Houston Street, is an outdoor installation inspired by QR-code patterns. The installation seeks to identify each segment with color codes that relate to the site, the traffic and the city. Shades of green, yellow, blue and orange will mutate as the fences are shifted with the progress of the construction site.
