Sep 10, 2019
4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Please join us for a special gathering of the 9/11 community, on the eve of this year’s commemoration. Similar to previous years, on Tuesday, September 10, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the 9/11 Memorial Museum will be reserved exclusively for 9/11 and 2/26/1993 family members, family members of individuals who are sick or who have died from 9/11-related illnesses, 9/11 rescue and recovery workers, active duty first responders, 9/11 survivors, active duty military and veterans, lower Manhattan residents and business owners, and active and retired flight crew members.

This year’s Community Evening will feature:

  • An information session with the Special Master of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) about who qualifies for compensation, what types of compensation are available, and how to register and file a claim. Held in the Museum’s Education Center, these 30-minute sessions will provide an informal opportunity to learn more about this important resource for the 9/11 community. Talks will be offered at 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Space is limited, so please RSVP to rsvp@911memorial.org with your name, number of guests, and the time of the session you plan to attend.

  • You are also invited to visit the Memorial Glade, a tranquil space on the 9/11 Memorial plaza dedicated on May 30, 2019, in honor of all who are suffering or have died from 9/11-related illnesses. Docents will be on hand to share their stories and answer questions from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

If you are a member of the 9/11 community, you can reserve your free ticket(s) to the Museum by visiting 911memorial.org/September10 or by calling (212) 266-5211.

Due to limited availability, advance reservations are strongly encouraged.

Last entry to the Museum will be at 6:00 p.m.

We hope that you will join us for this evening of remembrance and fellowship.
