Description:
Eight years after the killing of Osama bin Laden, the State Department recently declared al-Qaeda to be as great a threat to the U.S. as it has ever been. At the same time, newly publicized intelligence suggests that Hamza bin Laden, a potential successor to his father, was killed in an airstrike, and that al-Qaeda’s current leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, may have serious health complications. As a complement to the 9/11 Memorial Museum’s upcoming exhibition on the hunt for bin Laden, al-Qaeda experts Peter Bergen, Bruce Hoffman, Mary Galligan and Mark Stout who advised the Museum in the creation of the exhibition, discuss the future of the terrorist group.
