Spend Your Mother’s Day at These Downtown Brunch Spots

Mother’s Day is on May 12 this year, and if you’re still on the hunt for the perfect gift, consider celebrating Mom at a tasty Sunday brunch in Lower Manhattan. (A floral arrangement from, say, City Blossoms is also a nice touch.) Considering all the delectable options downtown, a delicious meal here is a gift for her and you, so we’re all winners.

La Marchande

Treat Mom to a Michelin-starred feast at John Frasier’s La Marchande, where you’ll find a special brunch menu for Francophiles and the French-curious alike. For $95-per-adult, Mother’s Day offerings include as many croissants and pain au chocolate as you can eat, along with freshly shucked oysters, shrimp cocktail, pâtés and French cheeses, just to name a few, along with your choice of entrée. To make things extra celebratory, opt for a Bloody Mary bar or a Champagne buffet for the table, or gift Mom a specialty cocktail that comes with a complimentary bouquet. Reserve your spot here. (88 Wall St.)

Mezze on the River

Mezze on the River will be serving up Mother’s Day specials all weekend for brunch and dinner. You and Mom can dine on grilled lobster tails, filet mignon and lobster risotto by the Hudson, or have your pick of their regular menu if you’d prefer. Reservations and menus here. (375 S. End Ave.)

Temple Court

The team at Temple Court is throwing moms a Mother’s Day Jazz Brunch, with three song-worthy courses starting at $85 per person. Options include lobster omelets, brioche French toast, hangar steak and burrata, with a special caviar appetizer for an extra $95. Reservations run from noon to 3:30 p.m. on May 12; book your spot here. (5 Beekman St.)

Harry’s

For Mother’s Day, Harry’s Bar and Restaurant is serving up the classics. Stop by on May 12 for a special Mother’s Day brunch menu, with a la carte options including lobster nicoise salad, steak benedict and goat cheese souffle. The regular menu is available as well. Make a reservation here. (1 Hanover Sq.)

Brooklyn Chop House

On May 12, Brooklyn Chop House is offering a special prix-fixe Mother’s Day menu served family-style. Expect the restaurant’s signature combination of Asian and steakhouse fare. Make a reservation here(144 Nassau St.)

Nobu

For an extra-fancy Mother’s Day celebration, take Mom to Nobu, where a $95 prix-fixe brunch feast awaits you. Family-style appetizers like crispy rice spicy tuna and shrimp tempura maki preface your choice of entrée, with options including chirashi, steak and egg donburi and shrimp spicy garlic with crispy chuka noodles. There’s also a Mother’s Day bento special for children, which runs $39-per-tot. Reserve your table here. (195 Broadway)

The Fulton and the Tin Building

The Jean-George Vonderichten foodie universe is going all out on Mother’s Day, with brunch and dinner reservations available at a number of establishments including the Fulton. Book a table there, or head to the Tin Building for a choose-your-own eating adventure at one of the culinary destination’s many stalls and eateries. (89 South St. // 96 South St.)

La Parisienne

For a more casual, but equally delicious Mother’s Day meal, La Parisienne is where you want to be. This adorable French cafe in Lower Manhattan is known for its Parisian breakfast, lunch and brunch fare in a cozy setting (not to mention, its weekday happy hour is also pretty great). While there’s no prix-fixe menu, or even reservations, any mom would be delighted to be treated to a meal here, Mother’s Day or otherwise. For menus, see their website. (9 Maiden Ln.)
