Gotham Park Wants Lower Manhattanites to Party Like Spring Is Actually Here

OK, yes, Smarch seems to have extended into April, but that doesn’t mean we can’t beg the party gods to bring us true and lasting spring (if such a thing exists). Gotham Park, located under the Brooklyn Bridge, is ready to do just that — the park is throwing a spring-centered Community Block Party on Saturday, May 4, and you’re invited!

Head to Rose Street and Avenue of the Finest between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. for all sorts of festivities, including live music and DJs, community mural painting, athletic clinics and classes, environmental engagement and STEM activities and more. There will also be plenty of kid-friendly games and activities for the little ones, as well as free food from local restaurants to nosh on. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
