Join us for a 90 minute Breathwork Meditation practice. Breathwork is an active meditation practice that brings love and attention to areas of emotional, spiritual, cognitive and physical blockages in our bodies. We’ll start and end our time with journaling and conversation to open our hearts, and to give ourselves all the love and care we deserve in this life. We will use a 3 part Pranayama Breathwork technique, that can often be quite psychedelic, to release areas of tension, as well as energies and mental/spiritual patterns & habits that no longer serve you. Connecting in with your breath in this focused way calms, centers and grounds you in your body, and allows you to bring in more joy, more happiness, more clarity, more peace and love for yourself and the world. This is a practice of Embodied Empowerment: remembering that you have the power within you to heal yourself by connecting with the fullness and richness of this human experience – what an amazing gift! You are your own best medicine, and your breath is the gateway in to building ever-greater trust in your perfect self and your ability to heal. Breathwork is work. It can be equal parts exhausting and liberating. It can also bring up a lot of old stuff (from this lifetime and others!) and that be a lot to hold space for. Bring a friend, tell a friend what you’re up to, and go gently into the night after our time together, my love. You’ll get instruction from me in person and in writing about aftercare best practices to help guide you as you integrate everything you’ll experience during this magnificent journey into yourself and the universe. Sessions are every Wednesday this fall from 6:30-8 pm at The Assemblage at 17 John St. NY, NY 10038. Exchange: $38 This workshop is for humans of all genders. All you need to bring is your perfect, magnificent self, a wee notebook or journal and something to write with, cozy clothes and I highly recommend an eye mask/cover or pillow. NOTE: We have a 48 business hour cancellation policy for all 90 minute classes, 72 business hours for workshops and longer sessions. Due to the limited number of participant spaces, any cancellations in that time frame will forfeit the class Contraindications: pregnancy, cardiovascular problems, significantly high blood pressure, major psychiatric conditions, recent surgery, acute infectious illness or epilepsy. Asthma is not generally considered a contraindication, and folks with asthma must have their inhaler available.
