Description:
On November 25, 1783 British troops evacuated New York City, the last city to be occupied at the end of the Revolutionary War. General George Washington led his troops in a parade down Broadway, with a celebratory dinner being held at Fraunces Tavern. Celebrate this momentous event in New York City’s history by visiting the Museum for special programming that includes live performances by the uniformed New Jersey Fifes & Drums. They will be performing 18th century music that would have been played by military corps during the Revolutionary War. 54 Pearl Street.
