Decadent, pre-WWII Berlin was the undisputed gay capital of the world—as imagined in Cabaret, and more recently in the television shows Babylon Berlin and Transparent. In Gay Berlin, Robert Beachy chronicles the milieu that gave rise to the international gay rights movement, with key strides made for scientific research, advocacy, and visibility—before the Nazis came to power. In conversation with Eric Marcus, founder of the Stonewall 50 Consortium and creator of the podcast Making Gay History. Advanced registration recommended.
