Social Services

Though Lower Manhattan does not have a large homeless population, the Downtown Alliance provides a helping hand as needed. Beginning in 2009, we partnered with Trinity Church and the Bowery Residents Committee to provide homeless outreach services to supplement the work of the City's Department of Homeless Services. These services include safe haven, stabilization beds, public and private shelters, drop-in centers, and hospital care.

This program has generated positive results - since the origination of this partnership, we've placed hundreds of individuals into homes.
